Change the color of your Fighter

You can change the color of your Fighter by pressing either A, B, Y, X, L, R, or Start to "Start" Press and Hold the Button until the plane flies to its destination to gain the "Eighth Color"

Access Continue, Quit or Reset Records Screen

After a Battle Press Select to access Continue, Quit or Reset Records Screen in Versus, Group Battle, Tournament Battle and Time Challenge Modes.

Change the sound effects

You can change the sound effects in the Options Mode by pushing the R button rapidly on either 25, 26, or 27. You'll hear some new sound effects on 1f through 23.

Easy look at any character's ending

For an easy look at any character's ending, enable Championship Mode, then set Difficulty to 2. After you breeze through the game and beat M. Bison, but before the picture fades, press Start + R to see the character ending.

Different ending credits

Play the game in 6, 7 or 8 stars without any continues to see a different ending credits. The names of the fighters will scroll up and the characters perform their moves in slow motion. Click here

Play against a same-colored Ken

Select a one-player game and don't choose any character; the game will choose Ryu automatically. When the match begins, press Start on Controller 2 and choose Ken, then let the timer run out for a "Draw Game" When the continue screen appears, press Start on Controller 2 and choose Ken to play against a same-colored Ken.Ê If you start the game with Controller 2, switch the controller commands above to get a same colored Ryu match.

Hold Select before your next match to get a configuration screen.

Watch the computer beat itself

To watch the computer beat itself while speeding things up, choose Tournament mode, then highlight the word End. Press Start. All matches are now computer vs. computer. If you press any button, it speeds up the match.

Both players be the same fighter

When the logo is on the screen, press Down, R, Up, L, Y, and B. You can have both players be the same fighter.

Can look at the profiles

Turn on the game and wait until you see the first profile of a fighter. On Controller 2, hold the L and R Buttons for as long as you would like to look at the profiles.

Play against the same fighter with the computer

1. Write down the names of three different fighters with 2 being the one you wish to fightwith and against. Label them fighters 1, 2, and 3. 2. Start a match with Fighter 1 and lose. Continue, choose Fighter 2, and lose once again. Note: if your first match is Fighter 1 vs. Fighter 2, hit Reset and try the code again with a different Fighter 1. 3. Continue again, choose Fighter 3, and just as the match begins, press Start on Controller 2. 4. With Controller 2, choose one of the five remaining fighters and let the "Controller 1 Fighter" win. 5. Repeat Step 4 until you reach Fighter 2's home stage. 6. At this stage, let the clock run out on all four rounds. When Player 1 loses, continue, and choose Fighter 2. You should then enter a match with Fighter 2 VS a CPU controlled Fighter 2.

No power meters

Enter and exit the "Option Mode" 27 times by pressing Start, and then choose a fighter. This code does nothing for you, it gives you no advantage nor any extra options. What it does do is take the power meters off the top of the screen, scramble some graphics, and takes away the sound. You play the game until one fighter is defeated and the game stops there.
