Jurassic Park

Get the game at Amazon.com!

Reviewed by Ben Gaylord Unlike the totally worthless, bug-city Sega game, this is good! Good action, good graphics (outdoors at least), good music, good fun. Its availability, and sad indoor graphics are its only down sides. Oh, and don't forget the impossible-to-find key cards!

Graphics 7 out of 10

Outside, the graphics are rather impressive, but indoors, it's pathetic (and confusing). Imagine Wolfenstein 3D. Now Imagine it being veerrryy slow. Add choppy movement, goggles as a border, take away the map function, screw up the levels, and voila! You've got the Jurassic Park visitor center!

Music and Sound 8 out of 10

Music: great. Some of it at least. If you start to hear a "flute" riff, get out of danger and stay still! That song is the best of the lot! Sounds: Could of done better. Much better. As with the graphics, the sounds suck indoors. I only plays one side (left or right speaker) at a time. That is so (blank) annoying!

Game Play-Fun 6.8 out of 10

Despite the low points (try and guess what, or rather, where they are), the game is quite fun. If you see the T-rex, though, put the controller down and slowly count to ten.

Overall 7.4 out of 10

Come on, despite Sega's "effort" trying reeeaall hard to prove otherwise, the relationship to the Jurassic Park label is enough reason to buy it. But seriously, it is a good game, well worth the time, effort, and the time it takes to print out the guide from the site.
