Welcome to my Final Fantasy II Review. One thing to say before we get
started, this is the best RPG EVER for its time! It is F-U-N!
Graphics 9 out of 10
This game has great graphics. Why? Because ENEMIES ARE BIG. They're
huge! If monsters were real, they'd look like that. They'd be that big.
Don't believe me? Look at a dinosaur book. ARE THEY HUGE? So are monsters.
Music and Sound 7 out of 10
This is a category that gets medium. The music for, say, bosses, is great.
Same with the caves and overworld. And the moon, WOW! It has good music.
And if real life had music, it'd sound as good as this. The problem? IT HAS
AWFUL TOWN MUSIC. It's almost as bad as... THE OPERA HOUSE IN FF3!
Game Challenge 10 out of 10
This is a tough game. I don't know WHERE I found out how to beat Queen
Asura. And it's more "complex" then "hard." Ever seen mazes like that?
I haven't. And how do you beat the "so called swords" in Lunar Subterranian?
It's tough.
Game Play-Fun 9 out of 10
This is fun. It's awesome! All the categories are great! It's a maze, it's an
RPG, it's a giant, all in 1!
Frustration
It's frustrating. The first few times I fought Queen Asura, I almost gave up.
When I tried to beat the final boss (Zeromus) the big bang KILLED me! If it
weren't for the nice internet, (why doesn't anybody put on a walkthrough for
this game?) I would have given up.
Replayability 5 out of 10
I don't like the replay amount. When you beat it, you beat it. And the
only thing to keep you coming back is to see how high levels you get!
Game Value 8 out of 10
This game costs about 20$ now. For a classic, that's good. But I've
searched EVERYWHERE and haven't found even an used copy! Only once I
found it anywhere for a long time.
Play Control 10 out of 10
This great game has good, average play control. As all RPGs, it has standard,
a-button attack moves.
Overall 9 out of 10
This is the best Final Fantasy game by far. For it's day, the graphics, sound
and challenge is excellent!
