Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest

The original Donkey Kong Country was a great game, and this game
exceeds it. What else did you expect? This game has Donkey Kong
missing, so Dixie Kong has to take his place. She has her trademark
moves which surpass Diddy. How about we give them something that
they can share, like what the scores are for this review?
Graphics 10 out of 10
This game has the same ACM graphics as DKC. This game uses it more.
If you look closely, Dixie has the Rare insignia on her hat. The Kongs
look their best, while K. Rool still looks UGLY! Hey, he's a bad guy! What
else did you expect? Cranky still is as old as ever, and yet able to house
museums around the area. More about him and the rest of the family later.
Music and Sound 10 out of 10
This game still is missing some of the sounds that Cranky should have
made in DKC, but the orchrestra did more than ever. I still remember
some of the tunes. Great job!
Game Challenge 10 out of 10
This game exactly has the same thing as DKC, but now there is more
variety. Grabbing on hooks, playing as the animals without riding on
them, prizes for beating bonus stages--the list goes on!
Game Play-Fun 10 out of 10
Controls are still great, but now the animals have special moves. Rambi
the rhino has a charge move to break open walls, since he lost some
strength. Enguarde the swordfish has a similar move. Squitter the spider
shoots webs and web bridges. Squawks the parrot now is controllable,
and shoots nuts. I think that is all. Everyone controls great.
Replayability 10 out of 10
This game has hidden areas again, but now they serve more of a purpose.
Game Value 9.5 out of 10
Again, if you don't have the move or time, don't get the game.
Kong Family and abilities 9.5 out of 10
The Kongs are very well balanced and have special things. Diddy has
the moves as the first game, while Dixie's ponytail glide beats Diddy.
Cranky still is old, but has museums that can help you with each world.
However, you must pay with banana coins. Candy is gone, but Wringly
Kong, the wife of Cranky, has a school which allows you to save and get
extra advice--for a price. Swanky Kong is another newcomer, and helps
you get extra lives for coins. Funky Kong is still here for traveling, and
you only have to pay once. All of the Kongs have something special, but
some are better. This category might seem strange, but the more
original, the better.
