Star Fox 64
Reviewed by Cameron Hinkle
Star Fox 64 is a very good game. I'm tired of games being released that you
can't really get exited about--but this is not one of those games. This is
the first game that I have gone out and rented since I got my N64 last
Christmas. This is definitely a game to get excited about.
GRAPHICS: 9.6
The graphics on this games are very nice. I would have to say that they are
the nicest graphics off any N64 game yet. I haven't seen any thing wrong
with them. They're smooth and clear--very nice, but not quite perfect.
SOUND: 8.3
The sound for Star Fox 64 was appropriate. It wasn't great, but you never
got tired of it. People may be a little hard on it because it was not even
comparable with the SNES soundtrack.
VOICE: 9.8
I wouldn't have added this category if I didn't love it so much. The voices
are ten times better than the sound. The only problem is that sometimes you
may hear a character say I'M HI--I'M HI--I'M HIT!!!
CONTROL: 9.0
The control of the game was pretty nice. They were smooth and easy to get
the hang of. They were about average.
GAMEPLAY: 9.2
The gameplay is fun. I especially like the Vs. modes. I think the Rumble
Pak adds to the fun. I don't know if I should put this under gameplay or
not, but I didn't like the fact that you couldn't save your games. I
thought it should be more like SOTE.
LASTABILITY: 9.4
You may get tired of playing the one-player mode, but I don't think you can
ever back down from one of your friends who says he can beat you in a death
match.
OVERALL: 9.5
This is a great game. There are certain parts that aren't as great as
others, but overall, it is a very good game. I wouldn't call it a must-buy,
but I would recommend it.
