Duel Heroes

I haven't really finished Duel Heroes, I only rented it once. I played
it a lot during the 5 days I had it. Now, I think there are better fighting
games out there, but this one is still sort of good. I did say SORT of
good.
Graphics 8 out of 10
The graphics were very nice. I'd say not as good as Banjo-Kazooie,
maybe between that and Dark Rift. The attacks got boring after a
while, because most of them are just punching and kicking with
glowing sparks and stuff like that. The characters, on the other
hand, look very nice. I like the way some of the visors "reflect".
Music and Sound 4 out of 10
The music was very nice, it was mostly just like monks singing
for some of the temple levels, or rock music for the arena levels.
The sound for the attacks were mainly the characters yelling
things like "ha!" and "hut!".
Game Challenge 3 out of 10
The reason it gets a 3 is because the opponents are EXTREMELY
easy to beat, unlike Mortal Kombat 4 where some were harder
than others. The last (?) guy is really hard, so you don't get any
practice from beating the easy guys and it is so hard to beat him!
Game Play-Fun 2 out of 10
I usually love fighting games. Especially on the Nintendo 64 ones
because they're 3D. I liked Mace, Mortal Kombat 4, Flying Dragon,
and any other fighting game you can think of for Nintendo 64. (Except
Fighter's Destiny) Dual Heroes was one of the TWO fighting games
that I hated. One reason is the time you lie on the floor after
you're knocked down. It's like they're asleep or something!
Replayability
The only thing that I hate about fighting games is that once
you beat them and get all the characters, there really isn't
much replayability.
Game Value 4 out of 10
If you must have all fighting games, this is for you. If it's free, sure,
it's worth the price. I think it would be too expensive starting at, maybe, $15.
Overall 4 out of 10
I think this game is just one of the fun machine's flops, like Mario
Golf. They plan on making the best fighting (or golf) game of all time,
and they come up with a big fat 0.
