Almost all the time that someone checks or trips the opponent,
you'll get in a fight by entering the following sequence: hold L,
then on the C buttons press Right, Left, Left, Right, Down, Up,
Up, Down, Left, Right, Right, Left.
Power shot tip

If you are having trouble doing the power shot, wait till
the arrow at your feet is white, go towards the goal, and
instead of pressing shoot and turbo at the same time, hold
shoot, then hold turbo, then let go of both at the same
time. This will work just about every time.
Turn invisible during a game

To make the players turn invisible during a game, press Start to
Pause. Select Replay from the Pause Option menu. Press the L or R
Button to cycle through the players. They will flash when you
first select them. Press the Z Button while they are invisible to
make them stay invisible. It's possible to make the entire team
vanish this way. Un-Pause the game when you have the desired
players invisible. The invisible players can make the game a bit
confusing to follow. You can make the players reappear by
selecting Replay and pressing the Z Button when the player
flashes visible.

If you want to play with mutant players, try these goofy codes.
First, go to the Option menu, either before or during the game.
Press and hold the Top, Bottom, or Left C Button, then press the
R Button. The word "SPECIALS" with 16 digits following it will
appear. You can change some of the numbers from zero to one by
holding down one of the C Buttons and pressing the R Button. Hold
the Bottom C Button and press the R Button to change the first
two digits, hold the Left C Button and press the R Button to
change the second two digits, and hold the Top C Button and press
the R Button to change the fifth and sixth digit. Try setting the
numbers to the following combinations (note that you can't change
any digits beyond the sixth, so those are not listed):
110000... Normal players with tiny heads
010000... Normal players with huge heads
101010... Tiny players
110110... Huge players with tiny heads
010110... Huge players with huge heads
000101... Huge players
011001... Tiny players with huge heads
100000... Normal players with huge heads
111010... Squat players
010010... Squat players with huge heads
When you enter these codes, the announcer's voice will also
change to match the player size. So if you have munchkin players,
you'll have an announcer who sounds like a munchkin to match!
Custom teams

To start out, go to the Options screen. Hold the L Button and
press the Bottom C Button twice, Top C Button twice, Bottom C
Button twice, Right C Button twice and Bottom C Button once. The
word "SPECIALS" with a string of 16 zeros will appear at the
bottom of the screen. Exit the Options Menu and go to the Team
Stats screen. Press the Top C Button 10 times. Two team names
will appear. Use the Control Pad to scroll through the team
names. Once you have the two teams that you want to modify, press
the A Button. You will only be able to copy other players to
these teams, you won't be able to copy players on these teams to
another team.
After pressing the A Button, the first team roster you are going
to modify will appear on the left, and a roster for one of the
other teams in the game will appear on the right. Press the B
Button to scroll through the teams on the left until you see the
team you want to "draft" a player from. Use the Control Pad to
highlight a player on each team. The player on the left will be
swapped with the player on the right. When you have the players
you want to trade selected, press the A Button. You can replace
as many players as you want and even replace all the members of
the left hand team with duplicates of the same player. Once the
left hand team roster is set the way you want it, press Start.
Your second potential custom team roster will now appear on the
left. You can now modify this team the same way you did the first
one. When you're done, press Start to return to the Team Stats
screen. Your custom teams will now be available in one-player,
multi-player and even Season mode.
Note that only two custom teams can exist at a time, and if you
repeat this process, you will erase any teams you already created.

At the Setup screen, press Z to watch the company logos scroll by.
Big bodies

In the Options menu, simultaneously press R and bottom C. When
the game starts, all of the players will have big bodies.
Small bodies

game starts, all of the players will have small bodies.

game starts, all of the players will be skewed horizontally.
Super Teams

On the Options Screen, before you've picked your team, hold down the L
button (on top of the controller.) While you're holding down the L
button, press Right C, Left C, Left C, Right C, Left C, Left C, Right
C, Left C & Left C. When you go to the team selection screen, you
should see four "super" teams: Canada, USA, 99ers and Williams.
Make all of the players disappear

During the opening face off, pause the game and select Replay. Make a
player flash by pressing L or R, and while he's still flashing, press
the Z-trigger button. He disappears! You can make all the players
disappear and play the game!

At any options menu screen (any non-game play menu), simply hit the
Z-button to see an advertisement scroll across the lower part of the
screen. Each time the Z-button is pressed, a different ad should
appear. Included are ads from Campbell's Soup, Upper Deck, Beckett,
Coca-Cola, Williams, and many others.

If you hit the A button 20 times from the title screen, it will bring
up a list of the staff credits of Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey, including
some pictures of them.

C-Left, C-Right, C-Down, C-Up, C-Up, C-Down, C-Left,
C-Right, C-Right, C-Left, C-Right, C-Left. If you did this
right you should get into a fight every 5 to 20 seconds!
Trade players

At the Options screen hold L and press C-Down, C-Down,
C-Up, C-Up, C-Down, C-Down, C-Right, C-Right, C-Down.
Return to the main menu, choose Records and enter the Team
Stats screen. When it appears, press C-Up 10 times. To trade
players, highlight a team and press A, then select a second team
and press A again. Press Start to enter the Trade screen.
Two-players in the practice mode

You need two or more controllers to do this one. When you get
to the main menu, move the joystick onto Practice mode and A on
one controller. Then at the same time, hold A on another controller.
It will let two-players in the practice mode.
