SUPER NES CLEANING KIT MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing the Super NES Cleaning Kit. By regularly
using this cleaning kit, you will extend the life of your Super
Nintendo Entertainment System Control Deck and Game Paks.
NOTE: Do not try to use the Super NES Cleaning Kit cartridge in the
NES Control Deck.

CLEANING GAME PAKS
Game Paks should be cleaned at least once a month or whenever they
become dirty.
1 Open the cleaning cartridge and remove the cleaning wand from the
plastic bag.
2 With your finger, apply a small amount of water to the blue end of
the cleaning wand until it is slightly damp.
NOTE: If possible, distilled water should be used. Or, for maximum
cleaning effect, use a mixture of 1 teaspoon isopropyl alcohol
and 1 teaspoon water.
3 Rub both sides of the Game Pak edge connector by pressing against it
gently with the blue end of the wand. Move the wand side to side to
clean all of the edge connector pins as shown.
4 With the white end of the wand, gently dry both sides of the Game Pak
edge connector.
5 Check the connector pins on both sides of the Game Pak. They should
be clean and have a shiny gold finish. If not, repeat steps 3 and 4.
NOTE: After Game Paks have been used for an extended period of time,
the connector pins will lose some of their gold finish. This is
normal.
CLEANING THE CONTROL DECK
The Control Deck should be cleaned at least once a month or whenever it
becomes dirty. For best results, clean the Control Deck at the same
time you clean your Game Paks.
1 Unplug the power cord from the Control Deck at either the wall outlet
(AC adapter) or the back of the Control Deck (AC plug).
CAUTION: Never clean your Control Deck while it is plugged in.

2 Load the cleaning cartridge into the top of the Control Deck as you
would a Game Pak. Move the cleaning cartridge in and out of the
Control Deck by pressing the eject button and then re-loading the
cartridge as shown. Repeat this process 5-10 times.
3 Remove the cleaning cartridge and plug the Control Deck back in.
After cleaning the Control Deck several times, it will be necessary to
change the cleaning card inside the cleaning cartridge. To do this,
open the cartridge by gently pressing the tab on the side and lift off
the lid as shown. Remove the cleaning card and rotate it so that a
clean edge of the card faces the opening. Push the card back into
place and replace the lid of the cartridge.
ADDITIONAL HINTS
¥ Replace dirty cleaning cards and wand tips with the replacement parts
provided or wash them with liquid dish soap. Rinse the parts very
thoroughly and allow to dry. DO NOT SCRUB THE CLEANING CARD!

compartment found inside the cleaning cartridge.
