Any course you race will have the Single Black Shell. You can shoot it forwards
or backwards (but I wouldn't shoot it backwards, not unless if you save it
until you get to a better position). You only can use this if you're in 8th
place. What it does is you shoot it and if it hits someone, they'll warp with
you. (The bad thing is, there's only a Single Black Shell type and when you're
in Battle, you can't use this to prevent from hitting yourself.) Anyway, I
forgot to tell you that this item has an aimer. So, there is a way of how you
can warp with the 1st place person. Make sure the 1st place person is close
(not very close) to you and make sure the aimer is on him/her. Now, shoot,
and there you have it.

The Yellow Shell goes after the other players. When it hits them they
shrink for the entire race meaning if they get hit they don't turn big again
but instead go even slower. It is the most common item in the game.

You can use pans 5 times. When you use it you have to hold Z or else the
pan will go nowhere! When you hold Z you see a targeting cursor which
locks itself. When locked the cursor should flash like a Super Star. Then
you release it. When the victim is hit, the driver can't move! It will recover
when it hits the wall. It is the rarest of all items, even the Spiny Shell!

This would be a Fire Flower. You would obtain it like any other item.
This Flower would give you three shots of fire. When the flame hits a
kart, it will burn for a second and then die out. The player will be black
for a few seconds and drive at half their top speed until they are no
longer black.

If you go over a ? box and get Revolving stars (looks like a blue super
star), three blue stars circle around you, much like the shells. If a shell
(any color) hits one of these stars, it will bounce off and head in
another direction. If a kart, invincible or not hits one of these stars,
they will spin out and you will lose one star.
