Trap the puck in the flipper

In the bonus stage where you must hit the moving stars, "trap" the puck in the flipper. To do this, you have the puck rest on the flipper while you hold the flipper button down. Lift up your thumb for a split second then slam it down. If you did it right, the puck will go backwards up between the structures that the flipper is attached to. Do this when the starts are moving in a big circle and you will get most of them. Sounds complicated but isn't.
