Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is a fun game where Kirby must face bosses and enemies, and find all the crystal shards to save Pop, Rock, Aqua, Neo, and many other stars from danger. There has been many curious creatures who found some crystal shards, and then O2's ghost keeps getting the way and possessing them. The creatures (not the kind of creature, just their name) are Waddle Dee, King Dedede, and Adeleine. However, although Kirby has Ribbon (the fairy) on his/her (sorry, I do not know Kirby's gender) side, Kirby will have to battle his friends, even though they are possessed. In order to bypass many things, Kirby must press the B button (really not Kirby, but you) to absorb, or inhale the enemy. If Kirby presses the B button while an enemy is in his/her mouth, he/she will spit it out, and having it collapse with another enemy will get you a "Combo Power". A combo power is a power that is a combo, for an example, the zappy symbol, plus the snowman-like symbol, equals Kirby's refridgerator power. All powers can attack, and for example, the refridgerator's attack is throwing out food to damage enemies, and to heal himself. At the end of each level, Kirby will appear with any of the friends he/she saved, and you can press the A button to jump. Besides the jumping, if you jumped at the right time, you can get random rewards. If you miss and do not get a reward, all the items will disappear and Kirby will start crying, and not recieve an award, while Waddle Dee, King Dedede, and Adeleine are peacefully eating. Here are the controls for the buttons: A: Jump; press repeatedly to float/flutter jump B: Inhale, or exhale Conrol Pad: >/<: Move right or left; \/ (down) duck; if enemy in mouth, eat/copy power Start: Pause/unpause R: If flying enemy in Kirny's mouth, jump and press to fly When Kirby swallows some enemies, sometimes they do not have powers. An example is a Glunk. What this is called is "Powerless Things".
