In certain copies of Paper Mario 2, Grodus will appear at least once and every chapter and you have to battle him there. When you fight him, he says "WHAT THE SH1T!!!" and flips off Goombella or whoever is your second partner, then runs away. In Chapter 4, he appears when you are in Doopliss' room and there is a journal with VERY LAME DARK AGES ENTRIES!! You might faint from lameness looking at it. But Grodus appears and says "WHAT THE SH1T IS THAT?!" and that causes Volt Catfish to appear and belt the crappy journal with a 1000 volt shock, knocking it the the X-Naut Fortress where the X-Nauts see it and say "THIS IS CRAP!" and chainsaw it and throw it into the incinerator. Also, at the end of the game, when Shadow Queen appears, Grodus appears again , but instead of being taken out. He says "WHAT THE SH1T! ITS A DARK AGES LAME CHARACTER! Well..I'll have to send someone stronger then me on you! UP YOURS!" and then flicks off the Shadow Queen and sends in Zabel(Darkstalkers) on her and he, Larry Koopa, and Bloo do WALK THE DINOSAUR ON SHADOW QUEEN, DESTROYING HER ALMOST ENTIRELY! Even Grodus and Mario join in! Afterwards, Mario only has to fight a really weak enemy called "Shadow Droplet" which is a small remain of the shadow queen which is really weak and all of its stats are 1. 1 hit kills it! Also, Grodus assasinates the lame Koopa News Lady in Chapter 5.

Usually, you will encounter Grodus at the moon, but when you go to the moon and play the game with that cricket badge, Grodus will say that his base is getting destroyed in the middle of Chapter 5. That will mean that something must be wrong. Before Chapter 7, the after-chapter scenes with Peach will take place in Rogueport (Grodus and Lord Crump are disguised as Wario and REALLY FAT Mario). In Chapter 7, the music will change to "Oh, the Moon" with different enemies too ... and you will see Grodus' fortress as a ruined moon cave! The cave is a dungeon with the same difficulty as Grodus' fortress, even has the easter egg of SMB Mario in it. As you see, HOOKTAIL IS THE BOSS OF THE DUNGEON!!! She will go crazy and EVEN COUNT PROSTITUTES! ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE SIX SEVEN! SEVEN! SEVEN PROSTITUTES! After Hooktail is done counting, you will then fight her. She has 40 HP, with stronger attacks. She's around the same difficulty as Magnus 2.0 ... and speaking of him ... you fight Magnus 2.0 RIGHT AFTER Gloomtail in the Palace of Shadows ... the X Naut Fortress is implanted inside the Shadow Palace suddenly ...
