Alonso is the commander's father. He has a bulldog with him on his mission to save Super Joe. If you've played Sonic 2 for Sega than you know that Sonic has Tails to help him. It's the same with Alono's dog, Brent. Alonso can actually jump. When Alonso attacks an enemy, Brent jumps and snaps and scares the enemy. The enemy is stunned for 10 seconds. He can't stun anything mechanical (such as the helicopter). Alonso has a jetpack. The jetpack is useful for many things. When you reach the Albatros, you fly up and shoot the light. At the next point, after you talk to Hal, you can fly and shoot the cockpit.
